  • Eat several pieces of watermelon a day, as it helps cleanse and refresh the kidneys. This is a good measure to prevent UTIs.

Benefits of heat

  • Drink plenty of fluids, so that you can kill bacteria and prevent them from reproducing. Do this twice a day until the urine is transparent.
  • Eat foods that are high in vitamin C, such as citrus fruits, to acidify the urine and prevent bacteria from growing.
  • Practice good personal hygiene, especially in women, to prevent bacteria from re-entering the body. Also use small towels instead of tampons.
  • Avoid alcoholic drinks, as they irritate the urinary tract and make it worse when there is an infection.
