The first thing to do is to have your phone out of range. Don’t look at your notifications. Don’t inspect  social media. In short, do not waste time in front of the screen of your device. Focus on the present moment. Your eyes will thank you, because they can finally rest. It will be the same for your mind, which will finally be disconnected from virtual life.

Also, do not watch television or other electronic devices. The idea is to detach from technology for at least a full hour. The only device that can accompany you in your relaxation moment is your music player at low volume.

If you are one of those people who relax with a shower or a bath, do not hesitate to indulge yourself. This will prepare your body, which will gradually calm down. If you want to relax effectively in a different way, immerse your feet in a basin of lukewarm water with a handful of coarse salt. It will give you a very pleasant feeling, and the accumulated fatigue will dissipate in a few minutes.

Be sure to use a different soap than the one you normally use, and rub gently in circular motions. Then put on a comfortable outfit or just keep your towel rolled up. Make sure to reduce the light where you decide to lie down. Remember to keep your back straight so that it can relax properly.

  • Depending on your desire of the moment, apply a mask for the face or for the hair. You can apply both masks very well!
  • Leave the mask on for half an hour. During this time, lie down and breathe deeply. If you wish, you can drink tea, read, or close your eyes to enjoy the different scents. If you opt for reading, choose a paper format, not a digital one. 
  • Remove the mask by rinsing your face with cold water. Pat your face dry, then apply moisturizer with gentle circular massages. Take your time. Above all, do not hurry.
